Since
ALL of our projects will be highly unusual, one-of-a-kind, custom designed and built ones; since we don't have any standard,
"off-the-shelve" design products that can be "tweaked" here and there to fit the needs of almost any prospective client and for which we already
have accurate construction cost data at our fingertips, we are afraid that, at the end of the first day of our relationship, we still won't be
able to give you anything other than a well educated "guesstimate", based on experience, of the most likely total cost of your "dream"
project. Only upon having successfully completed Phase #2, and with an agreed upon project design and scope now firmly
in hand, will we be able to offer you relatively accurate, project cost estimates and to enter into final, definitive understandings with you regarding
our likely fees involving Phases #3 through #5.
Another way of looking at these cost figures is that our fees will, most
likely, have amounted to roughly $14 per each square foot of your home's floor space. If you live in a highly urbanized area with
relatively high labor rates (such as in the Washington, DC- Northern VA - Baltimore, Md area) that means that you probably will have
paid about $160 per each sq. ft. of your new home's floor space or about what you would have paid for an "off-the-shelf",
developer built "house"; of comparable size, lay-out, looks, and quality!
